Casco Engineer Named “Rising Leader” by Goering Center

Nathan Bare recognized for dynamic business strategy

Nathan Bare of Miamisburg, an industrial engineer at Casco Manufacturing Solutions, has been named a Rising Leader for the month of July by the Goering Center for Family and Private Business.

The 24-year-old, 2017 graduate of Wright State University was recognized for excelling at creating a dynamic business strategy for Casco. Casco is a 59-year-old, certified, woman-owned manufacturing company in Camp Washington that specializes in cutting, sealing, and sewing Original Equipment Manufacturing products like mattress covers, stretcher pads, cushions and grill covers for industry leaders in institutional, healthcare, government, outdoor and custom manufacturing markets.

“Nathan is a recent hire, but has come on strong in the areas of leadership development and company strategy,” said Melissa Mangold of Symmes Township, Casco president and CEO. “He’s responsible for the re-design of our production floor and is focusing this year on product design and industrial engineering in preparation for taking over the industrial engineering department in 2019. He’s eager to embrace best practices in the soft goods manufacturing industry and incorporates the leadership skills he learns from the Goering Center’s Rising Leader program into his work relationships.”

The Goering Center, located in the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Linder College of Business, serves private and family-owned businesses with education forums, workshops and symposiums to help family and private businesses grow and thrive in an ever-changing environment. The Goering Center also offers education, training and connections to develop next-generation leaders and aid in succession planning.

Each month the Goering Center selects a Rising Leader from its 330-member organizations and will select a 2018 Rising Leader from the pool at its annual Family and Private Business Award celebration on Sept. 11.
